In a tragic incident at Ameri Kalay Chowk in Karak, a 22-wheeler truck collided with a passenger vehicle, resulting in the deaths of 10 people and injuries to 15 others.
According to the deputy commissioner of Karak, the truck’s brakes failed, leading to the devastating crash. Among the deceased are women and children. Rescue 1122 teams are actively working at the scene, while local hospitals have been placed on high alert to handle the emergency.
In another road accident in Lahore early Saturday morning, one person lost their life, and three others were injured when a speeding Land Cruiser collided with two cars and a motorcycle on Maulana Shaukat Ali Road near Jinnah Hospital.
Police and rescue teams responded promptly, transferring the victims to a nearby hospital. The Land Cruiser driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, was arrested at the scene, and further investigations are underway.
