PESHAWAR: Three policemen were martyred and six injured on police checkpost in Karak District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Bahadurkhel's police post in Karak was attacked by terrorists in which two policemen were martyred and six injured.
The District Police Officer (DPO) said drivers Naqeeb and Adnan were martyred on the spot in the incident.
According to authorities, the miscreants attacked with heavy weapons. The attackers fled in retaliation by the police.
According to the DPO, four injured policemen were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital where another policeman Taimoor Hayat died while not receiving any injuries while three injured policemen were referred to Peshawar.

The DPO said police have started a search operation in the area.
