PESHAWAR: At least three Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel were martyred and two others were injured in exchange of fire with terrorists in the Spina Tangi area of Bannu District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the District Police Officer (DPO), two attackers were also killed and several injured in firing by CTD police in Spina Tangi area. The weapons, hangarnade, IEDs and other goods were also recovered from the attackers.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Benjamin and Constables Inam and Musawar were during exchange of fire with militants.
Two other CTD personnel, Wafid Khan and Imran, sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Police said the bodies of the attackers and the injured were taken with them.
A clearance operation is underway in the area.
