Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin held high-level talks in Beijing, focusing on bilateral relations, global governance, and regional stability.
During the meeting, President Xi Jinping stated that both countries should support each other in promoting and restoring development.
He emphasized that China–Russia relations are based on political mutual trust and strong strategic cooperation, which he described as the key to the success of their partnership.
Xi further noted that the world is facing the risk of returning to a “law of the jungle,” highlighting the need for stronger international cooperation. He also stressed that China and Russia should work together to promote the development of a fair and reasonable global governance system.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, meanwhile, described Russia–China relations as being at an “extraordinary level,” adding that economic ties between the two countries are advancing with positive momentum.
He said that amid tensions in the Middle East, Russia remains a reliable energy supplier and emphasized that Russia and China’s cooperation is contributing positively to global stability.
Putin also highlighted the growing economic partnership between the two nations, stating that their cooperation continues to move forward steadily despite global challenges.
In a further diplomatic gesture, President Putin invited President Xi Jinping to visit Russia next year.
The meeting reflects the continued strengthening of strategic, political, and economic ties between Beijing and Moscow amid evolving global dynamics.
