BEIJING: The foreign ministers of Pakistan and China have agreed to further strengthen strategic cooperation regarding the Iran situation and to continue joint efforts for regional peace.
According to a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both countries remain all-weather strategic partners and share aligned positions on key international and regional issues.
The spokesperson added that the two sides will enhance coordination on Iran and work together to promote stability in the region.
China also reaffirmed its commitment to playing a constructive role in easing tensions and supporting diplomatic solutions.
The spokesperson confirmed that despite recent tensions, three Chinese vessels safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz, expressing gratitude to relevant parties for their cooperation.
Beijing expressed concern over damage to historical sites during the conflict and urged all parties particularly the United States and Israel to immediately halt military actions and avoid further escalation.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is currently visiting China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, where discussions will cover regional developments, bilateral relations, and global issues of mutual interest.
