Riyadh: Under the visionary guidance of Saudi leadership, the Kingdom has achieved a historic milestone in global sports, earning the right to host major international tournaments.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi lauded these achievements during a significant meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, in Riyadh.
The discussion focused on expanding cricket’s footprint in Saudi Arabia, promoting youth engagement in sports, and deepening bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised Prince Abdulaziz for advancing the sports sector under Vision 2030, recognizing the Kingdom’s strategic efforts to position itself as a global sports hub.

Chairman Mohsin Naqvi extended congratulations on Saudi Arabia being awarded the hosting rights for landmark events, including the AFC Asian Cup 2027, Asian Winter Games 2029, Asian Games 2034, and the FIFA World Cup 2034.
He emphasized that developing cricket infrastructure, implementing joint training programs, organizing reciprocal tours, and conducting youth tournaments will create unparalleled opportunities for emerging athletes in both countries.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi further highlighted that sports, particularly cricket, can serve as a bridge of friendship and regional harmony between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Both parties agreed to accelerate institutional coordination and execute actionable plans to provide youth with greater access to constructive sporting platforms.
