According to the PMD, the twin cities and isolated areas in upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may experience intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms during the specified period. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is anticipated elsewhere across the country.
On Friday, Islamabad is expected to see maximum temperatures ranging between 39 and 41 °C, with a slight decrease to 38 and 40 °C on Saturday. Similarly, Rawalpindi's maximum temperatures are forecast to range between 40 and 42 °C on Friday and 39 and 41 °C on Saturday.
Recent weather trends indicate hot and dry conditions have prevailed in most parts of the country over the last 24 hours. The southern and central regions experienced extremely hot weather, while isolated areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Potohar region, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw light rain and drizzle.
Notably, Bhakkar and Noorpur Thal reported the highest temperatures nationwide, reaching 49°C. Sibbi recorded a maximum temperature of 48°C, followed by Jacobabad at 47°C, and several other cities such as Mandi Bahauddin, Dadu, Gujranwala, Dera Ismail Khan, Hafizabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Okara, and Narwal registering temperatures at 46°C.

In the capital city of Islamabad, the maximum temperature reached 43 °C, with an evening relative humidity of 21 percent. Similarly, Rawalpindi recorded a maximum temperature of 43 °C with an evening relative humidity of 15 percent.
