Authorities in Dubai renewed the driving licenses for 10 years for UAE and GCCC citizens while it is renewed for five years for residents from Pakistan, Philippines and other countries.
Renewal of driving licenses is accessible online in most of the emirates, including Dubai. To restart your driving license, you must settle all your traffic fines. A fine of 10 AED per month will be levied on customers who delay renewal of the driving license for more than one month.

Penalties on Delay Renewal of License
According to RTA regulations, a late fine of 10 AED is accrued monthly from the license expiration date, with a cap at 500 AED.Renewal fees and an evaluation test are necessary only if the license has lapsed for over a decade. If it has been expired for more than ten years, the applicant must retake the driving test for skill evaluation.
The service fee for this evaluation test under such circumstances is yet to be specified.
