Isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and various parts of Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating the upper and central regions of Pakistan, with a westerly wave anticipated to impact the upper areas from July 11.
Under these conditions, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are forecasted for the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, north/southeastern Balochistan, south Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday night. Heavy rains could lead to flooding in low-lying areas of lower Sindh and lower Balochistan.
On Tuesday, most parts of the country are expected to experience hot and humid weather. However, isolated rain-wind/thunderstorms are predicted for the twin cities, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, north/southeastern Balochistan, south Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas of lower Balochistan.
The maximum temperature in Islamabad is expected to range between 35-37°C on Tuesday and 36-38°C on Wednesday.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 36-38°C on Tuesday and 37-39°C on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, rain-wind/thunderstorms were reported in isolated areas of southeast Sindh, including Karachi, as well as in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Jacobabad, the maximum temperature was 44°C, while Nokkundi and Dalbandin recorded 43°C. Sibbi, Rohri, Mithi, and Mohenjo-Daro recorded 42°C.
In Islamabad, the maximum temperature reached 38°C, with evening relative humidity recorded at 46%.
In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature reached 37°C, with evening relative humidity recorded at 37%.
