WhatsApp is introducing a new shortcut to directly engage with Meta AI, making the feature more accessible and user-friendly.
The enhancement, part of WhatsApp’s latest beta update for iOS version 24.25.10.79, has relocated the Meta AI shortcut to the Chats tab, replacing its earlier position at the top of the navigation bar, according to WABetaInfo. This repositioning aims to improve visibility, especially on larger screens where reaching the display's upper section can be inconvenient.
The update seeks to encourage users to explore WhatsApp's AI-driven features through the redesigned shortcut. Users can leverage tools for creative content generation, including personalized images, as part of this initiative.
In the Android version, the shortcut takes the form of a floating action button, reflecting a design strategy that may evolve based on user feedback.
Currently, the updated feature is available to a limited group of beta testers via TestFlight. WhatsApp plans to roll it out more broadly in the coming weeks, while continuing to refine the interface to enhance the user experience.
