Technogym teams with Google Cloud, upgrade AI fitness coaching

AI-powered equipment growing in the fitness industry

Technogym has announced a new multi-year partnership with Google Cloud to improve its AI-powered fitness platform. The collaboration will introduce advanced Gemini generative AI models into Technogym’s existing digital ecosystem.

As a result, users will soon interact with the Technogym AI Coach through text, voice and image-based conversations. The company says the update will create a more natural and personalized fitness experience for users worldwide.

AI coach offers personalized guidance:

The upgraded “AI Coach” focuses on improving workout plans based on a user’s body data, goals and activity levels. Instead of following generic programs, users will receive training suggestions designed specifically for their personal needs. For example, a person can ask simple questions such as how to improve their Wellness Age. The AI Coach will then provide tailored advice on exercise, recovery and nutrition.

Moreover, the system will continue adjusting recommendations as the user’s progress changes over time. This technology aims to make fitness coaching more interactive and easier for everyday users.

AI assistant supports gym operators:

Technogym also introduced a new "AI Assistant" for gym operators and fitness centers. The tool helps automate several daily tasks, including workout programming and operational management. In addition, the assistant can identify warning signs when members may stop attending the gym. This feature allows operators to improve customer retention and provide better support before users lose motivation.

The system also offers detailed insights into user behavior, helping businesses understand fitness trends and customer preferences more effectively.

Cloud technology smart fitness system:

The company built the new platform using Google Cloud’s Big Query and enterprise AI architecture. This cloud-based system combines fitness activity, behavioral patterns and performance data into one centralized platform.

Experts believe this setup will improve accuracy and help create highly personalized wellness experiences. Furthermore, the technology may open new opportunities for smart fitness equipment and advanced health tracking systems.

AI reshape fitness industry:

Industry analysts say generative AI could significantly change the future of health and wellness services. Many fitness companies now focus on subscription-based digital platforms instead of traditional gym-only experiences.

At the same time, AI-powered equipment and connected health platforms continue to grow in popularity. Businesses see these tools as a way to improve customer engagement and long-term fitness results. Technogym’s partnership with Google Cloud highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in the fitness industry. By combining AI coaching, cloud technology and personalized wellness data, the company hopes to create smarter and more engaging fitness experiences for users around the world.
