PSL 9: Multan Sultans full squad, schedule, venues

Multan Sultans have won the 2021 edition of the PSL.
They will play five of their eleven matches in Multan.
They will begin thier campaign on Feb 18.

The revitalized Multan Sultans are gearing up to participate in the ninth edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League. Their journey begins at the scenic Multan Cricket Stadium, also known as the Sultans Fort, on February 18, a day following the tournament’s commencement. The first half of their league matches will be played at home, after which they will embark on a tour across Pakistan from February 26 to compete in the away games.

Multan has proven to be a formidable venue for visiting teams, with the Sultans boasting an impressive record of seven victories in eight matches played here. As the 2021 champions, the Multan Sultans have made it to the finals in the last three seasons and hold the highest win percentage (55.22%) of any team since the HBL PSL was established in 2016.

The Multan Sultans have made some exciting trade deals with the Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings, acquiring Iftikhar Ahmed, a highly coveted T20 all-rounder, and Faisal Akram, a promising 20-year-old left-arm wrist spinner who has claimed 20 first-class wickets in just three matches, including a 10-wicket haul. They also secured the first platinum and diamond picks, two out of three gold picks, and two of the initial four silver picks.

The Sultans have strengthened their domestic lineup by selecting Tayyab Tahir, Mohammad Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Yasir Khan, and Aftab Ibrahim. The batting lineup has been further bolstered by the inclusion of Reeza Hendricks, Dawid Malan, and Usman Khan, while David Willey, Reece Topley, and Chris Jordan have been added to enhance their fast bowling department.
