The alleged exchange reportedly followed the user’s public criticism of Drake and praise for Kendrick Lamar.
According to the screenshots circulating online, the conversation appeared to stem from commentary related to the ongoing rivalry between the two rap heavyweights.
The user publicly insisted the messages were “100% real,” asserting that they were sent directly from Durant’s official account rather than an anonymous profile.
In posts accompanying the images, the user acknowledged understanding how public figures can face backlash for past remarks, referencing his own experiences.
“Look, I got my past transgressions that I’ve been put on the summer jam screen for past s*** I’ve said. So in a way I KINDA empathize with Kevin Durant…” he wrote.
