Shabbir Jan talks about teenage marriage and the loss of his mother

Shabbir Jan, one of Pakistan's most beloved veterans, has had a career spanning decades and has managed to adapt to changing times. He has portrayed some great roles and continues to impress everyone with his acting skills. He married twice in his life, with actress Fareeda Shabbir as his second wife.

In his interview with Sajid Hasan, Shabbir Jan revealed that he married at the age of 18. He recounted his experiences as a wild child, frequently getting hit, and occasionally running away from home for weeks. On one such return trip, he found himself married to his first wife.

He said, "I was just happy that I was getting married and didn't even understand what a marriage is at that point. Shabbir has 6 kids from his first marriage. He shared that he was just happy that his mom told him that they were marrying him as he had never been in a relationship. He to this day does not know whether it was his father’s decision or his mother’s.”

He was very close to his mother. She was the one who always supported his dreams. He revealed that “she used to hide him behind her whenever his father beat him. He was close to his mother till her last breath and misses him to this day dearly. He feels everything ended the day he lost her.”
