Recently, Sajid Hassan appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me. In the podcast, he discussed deliberately refusing anti-Indian roles.
Talking about why he doesn’t like actors playing anti-state characters, he said, “Currently, I am watching Tiger 3, well, it is anti-Pakistan, all it has is bashing on Pakistan. I don’t like this thing. It is unfair with an actor. I don’t like to do such characters. When I was a new actor, we used to have a lot of pressure to do such kind of characters but I refused them, your communication and bond with other countries’ people should not be affected even if they are obnoxious. He further said that Pakistanis should value freedom which was given by Quaid E Azam because he felt suffocation in India.”
He also revealed that he worked in a Star Plus drama in 1997. Sajid Hasan revealed that “he couldn’t continue it after the Kargil war because the situation worsened. He worked in Star Plus’s drama serial Tanha which started airing in 1998.”
