Maya also discussed when she started to see the red flags in her marriage. She said that “she started seeing them from the very start but chose to ignore them. She further added that the art of detachment is what she learned to let go of the trauma that she endured during that time.”

She also spoke about the increasing number of divorces in Pakistan. She said that “there are simply too many expectations these days in the relationship from both sides and that is adversely affecting marriages and divorce rates are going up.”
