Prince William has expressed immense joy after Aston Villa delivered a commanding 3–0 victory to secure their first European silverware in 44 years, marking a historic night for the club and its supporters.

The Prince of Wales, a passionate Aston Villa supporter, took to Instagram shortly after the win to share his excitement over the club’s long-awaited European success.

“Amazing night!! Huge congratulations to all the players, team, staff and everyone connected to the club! 44 years since the last taste of European silverware!” he wrote, capturing the emotion of a landmark achievement.

In a touching gesture, Prince William also singled out midfielder Boubacar Kamara, praising his importance to the squad despite his injury. He noted that Kamara played a key role behind the scenes in helping build the foundation for the team’s success.

Signing off with enthusiasm, the royal added, “Up The Villa!” and “Villa ’Till I Die!” followed by his signature “W,” reflecting his deep connection with the club.

Earlier in the night, Prince William was seen arriving at Besiktas Stadium in Istanbul, appearing tense and focused as he followed the high-stakes encounter.

The match remained tightly poised in the first half before Aston Villa shifted momentum just before the break, with Lucas Digne winning a crucial corner that lifted the team’s confidence.

Soon after the restart, Buendía delivered a key assist for Rogers, who calmly slotted home to seal a memorable European victory.

The triumph ends Aston Villa’s 44-year wait for continental silverware, marking their first European title since 1996 and adding another milestone to manager Unai Emery’s impressive record.

The victory also sees Aston Villa become the first European champions of the season, setting the tone ahead of the remaining continental finals.
