The Sindh government has launched its first Google Gemini for Education Corner at NED University and announced 20,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships for students in partnership with Google and Tech Valley Pakistan.

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the initiatives at a ceremony attended by senior government officials, Google representatives, university leaders and students.

The program also includes artificial intelligence (AI) training for cabinet members and senior government officials.

Under the Google Career Certification Program 2026, 20,000 scholarships will be awarded to students enrolled in public universities across Sindh.

The internationally recognized certificates cover high-demand fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, project management, UX design, digital marketing, e-commerce and IT support.

Earlier, more than 40 cabinet members, advisers and special assistants participated in a hands-on AI training session conducted by Google for Education experts in partnership with Tech Valley Pakistan.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said AI can improve governance, public service delivery and policymaking, while stressing that technology should support, not replace, human decision-making.

The launch of the Google Gemini for Education Corner at NED University marks another step in Sindh’s digital transformation plan, aimed at preparing students and public institutions with skills needed for an AI-driven future.
