Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah is expected to present the budget in the Sindh Assembly during today’s session.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s House, the cabinet expressed appreciation for what it termed “record-level” development work carried out during the previous financial year. It also reiterated its commitment to public welfare under the leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.

The proposed financial plan includes an upward revision in the minimum wage, aimed at providing relief to workers amid ongoing economic challenges.

Earlier, in a separate review meeting, the chief minister assessed the performance of major revenue-generating departments.

He instructed officials to enhance tax collection mechanisms and improve overall fiscal management to support the province’s development priorities.
