President Asif Ali Zardari’s personal doctor, Dr. Asim Hussain, said that the president's health is getting better and there is nothing to worry about.
Dr. Asim explained that President Zardari felt unwell during Eid prayers, but his condition has since improved. When Dr. Asim reached Nawabshah, he decided it was better to move the president to Karachi for further check-up and treatment. Zardari was brought to Karachi on Monday night and underwent several medical tests.
According to the test results, President Zardari was diagnosed with coronavirus. Treatment was immediately started, and some medicines had to be brought in from abroad because they were not available in Pakistan. Dr. Asim said that, by the grace of God, the president’s health is improving.
He mentioned that Zardari is likely to be discharged from the hospital either tomorrow or the day after. He added that once this happens, all the rumors will stop.
Dr. Asim also reminded people that coronavirus hasn’t completely gone away. While it’s not as dangerous as it was in the early days, new cases are still being reported, and a new variant of the virus is currently spreading in Pakistan.
