PIA, Saudi firm sign MoU to enhance tourism and air travel between two countries

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Funadiq Travel and Tourism Services, the official representative of the Saudi Tourism Authority in Pakistan, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance tourism and air travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The agreement focuses on promoting Saudi Arabia as a leading destination for Pakistani tourists through joint marketing efforts, co-branded travel packages, and sustainable tourism initiatives. This collaboration aligns with the broader goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, according to a press release.

At the signing ceremony, PIA CEO AVM Amir Hayat emphasized that the partnership demonstrates PIA's dedication to improving travel experiences for its passengers. By partnering with Funadiq and the Saudi Tourism Authority, PIA aims to make travel between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia more convenient and enjoyable for its customers.

Funadiq CEO Mohammad Salman Arain expressed excitement about partnering with PIA to promote Saudi Arabia as a top-tier tourist destination.

He highlighted their joint effort to provide seamless travel experiences for Pakistani tourists, allowing them to explore Saudi Arabia's rich cultural and historical heritage.

This partnership is expected to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, boost tourism, and create new opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.

Additionally, on September 13, PIA made progress in its plans to resume flights to the UK and Europe. This followed technical discussions between Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and authorities from the UK and European Union, as reported by ARY News. Several technical sessions were held in recent days between CAA and EU officials.
