On Wednesday, the Sindh government announced new routes for People’s Bus Service in Karachi. Senior Sindh Minister for Information, Transport & Mass Transit and Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Sharjeel Inam Memon addressed the transport woes of Karachi by announcing additional Peoples Bus Service routes.
During the meeting, attended by elected MPAs from Karachi, the deputy mayor, and other officials, it was decided to introduce new bus routes in Malir, Kemari, Lyari, and the western district of the city.
A decision was made during the meeting to inaugurate a fresh bus route running from Numaish to Hawkes Bay.
In his remarks, Sharjeel Memon expressed that the government is endeavoring to facilitate the residents of the city by expanding the public transport network.
In the previous meeting of the transport department, the minister received a comprehensive briefing on the progress of various projects, including the construction of Bus Rapid Transits (BRTs), installation of signals, reconstruction of bus terminals, and the construction of a dedicated U-turn for the People’s Bus Service.
