ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy Ships TABUK and RAH NAWARD visited Port Sultan Qaboos, Muscat, Oman, as part of their overseas deployment, according to a press release by the Director General Public Relations (Navy).
Upon their arrival, the ships were warmly welcomed by Omani authorities. During the visit, the Mission Commander and Commanding Officers held key meetings with senior leadership of the Royal Navy of Oman, including the Director General of Operations and Plans, Commander of the Maritime Security Centre, and Commandant of Said Bin Sultan Naval Base. Discussions covered mutual interests, Navy-to-Navy collaborations, and maritime security cooperation.
The visit attracted ambassadors, diplomats, and military attaches from various countries, as well as members of the Pakistani community in Oman. Students from Pakistan School, Muscat, also toured the ships, enhancing people-to-people ties.
PNS TABUK later conducted a Passage Exercise with the Royal Oman Navy ship AL SHAMIKH. The at-sea drill aimed to boost interoperability and shared learning through coordinated naval activities.
As maritime neighbors, Pakistan and Oman maintain strong naval ties marked by port visits, joint exercises, and collaborative patrols. The visit of PNS TABUK and RAH NAWARD is expected to further enhance bilateral relations and strengthen naval cooperation between the two nations.
