ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Indonesia have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand partnership across multiple sectors.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit at the invitation of the Prime Minister.

Upon his arrival at the Prime Minister’s House, President Subianto was accorded a guard of honour. He expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and welcomed collaboration, particularly in the field of healthcare.
During delegation-level talks, both leaders discussed avenues to deepen ties and signed several memorandums of understanding and agreements aimed at boosting cooperation.
The discussions also focused on balanced bilateral trade, while both sides agreed to send Pakistani doctors, medical professors, and experts to Indonesia as part of future collaboration.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that relations between Pakistan and Indonesia have stood the test of time and continue to strengthen.
President Subianto reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to expanding cooperation in education, trade, agriculture, and technology.
The visit marks a significant step forward in enhancing strategic and economic relations between the two friendly nations.
