ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly passed a motion on Wednesday, expressing sincere gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari for his address to both Houses of Parliament on April 18 of the previous year.
In his closing remarks, Minister for Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, lauded the President for his efforts in ensuring the continuity of Pakistan’s democratic process, promoting patience and tolerance in the country's political landscape, and strengthening the unity of the federating units.
"I express heartfelt gratitude to the President of Pakistan for addressing this respectable House," he said.
Tarar also highlighted the significance of constitutional offices in every democratic system, emphasizing the crucial role they play in the governance of the nation.
