PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced winter vacations for educational institutions across the province.
According to the Secretary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, educational institutions located in the summer zone will observe winter holidays from January 1 to January 15. Meanwhile, institutions in the winter zone will remain closed from December 22 to February 28.
On the other hand, Federal Education Department has officially announced winter holidays for federal government educational institutions.
According to the notification, schools and colleges will remain closed from December 26 to January 3. Academic activities are scheduled to resume on January 5.
It is worth noting that in Punjab, winter vacations will begin on December 23, 2025, and continue until January 11, 2026. All public and private schools in the province will reopen on January 12.
Meanwhile, the Balochistan Education Department has announced that public and private schools in cold regions will remain closed for two and a half months starting December 16.
This schedule will be uniformly applicable to all government and private schools.
Similarly, winter vacations have also been announced across Sindh from December 22 to December 31. All public and private educational institutions in the province will resume regular classes from January 1.
