Karachi: A fire broke out on the fourth floor of Rimpa Plaza on MA Jinnah Road.

The Central Command and Control team quickly sent a fire and rescue team, ambulances, and fire department trucks to the scene after receiving the alert.

Nine fire tenders tried to control the fire at Rimpa Plaza. Fire tenders from Rescue 1122 and KMC worked to bring the fire under control.

An aerial platform (snorkel) was used to douse the fire on the third and fourth floors of the building.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the incident and instructed immediate measures to extinguish the fire. He also directed the Commissioner of Karachi to provide a detailed report on the fire at Rimpa Plaza.

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar issued instructions to take immediate action to rescue those trapped at the scene. He also emphasized that the causes of the incident should be determined and shared with the media without delay.

According to fire brigade officials, the fire that broke out in the building has been brought under control, and the snorkel operation has been halted to begin the cooling process.

The Chief Fire Officer stated that the fire started in the fourth and fifth floors, where rubber and plastic auto parts were stored. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and all individuals were safely evacuated from the building.

The Chief Fire Officer also noted that the operation faced difficulties due to a lack of water supply. Firefighting efforts were carried out with the assistance of teams from KMC, the Pakistan Navy, and Rescue 1122.
