97-year-old doctor reveals secret to long and healthy life

He advised people to keep their minds active by continuing to learn new things.

A 97-year-old doctor has shared the key habits behind his long and healthy life, saying that people of all ages can improve their health by making simple but effective lifestyle changes.

Speaking to Senior Care, the doctor said staying physically active, keeping the mind engaged and following a healthy routine are the most important factors for a long life. He added that avoiding diseases in old age is still possible if people adopt better daily habits.

According to him, drinking enough water is essential for overall health. He explained that dehydration can lead to kidney problems, while proper hydration helps the body remove waste and improves blood circulation. Research also suggests that drinking enough water can reduce the risk of heart and lung diseases.

The doctor also stressed the importance of physical activity, saying that even at the age of 97 he still does light exercise and lifting. He believes this helps keep muscles strong and reduces weakness and bone problems in old age. Experts agree that regular exercise not only improves sleep but also reduces stress and keeps energy levels high.

Speaking about mental health, he advised people to keep their minds active by continuing to learn new things. He said reading books, solving puzzles and learning new skills can help improve memory and reduce the risk of mental decline later in life.

He concluded that if people follow these simple principles, they can not only live longer but also enjoy a healthier and more active life even in old age.
