UAE announces 5-day processing for Dubai visas

The UAE has announced that visa processing time has been reduced from 30 days to just five days. This change aims to improve efficiency and cut down on bureaucratic delays.

Key Highlights

  • Reduced Processing Time: The document submission period has been slashed from 16 days to just five.
  • New Platform Launched: The UAE government has introduced the “Work Bundle” platform to streamline the employment process for business owners and private companies.
  • Easy Renewal: This platform also simplifies the visa renewal process for existing employees.

What is the Work Bundle?

The Work Bundle is part of the UAE’s “Zero Government Bureaucracy” initiative, providing a unified platform to ease the application process for employers. The new system is expected to save approximately 62 million working hours in government offices and reduce the need for 25 million office visits.

Phased Implementation

  1. First Phase: Launched in March, the platform is currently available to companies based in Dubai and has expanded to all seven emirate states.
  2. Second Phase: It will soon cover nearly 600,000 companies and over 7 million workers.
  3. Third Phase: The final phase will extend services to domestic workers.

Accessing the Work Bundle

The Work Bundle platform is accessible through its website, workinuae.ae. Additionally, a mobile app is expected to be released soon, making it even more convenient for users to access services.

Government’s Commitment

This initiative demonstrates the UAE government’s dedication to improving efficiency and reducing bureaucratic obstacles.

The streamlined process will make it easier for businesses to hire and retain employees, significantly cutting down on administrative time and effort.
