KARACHI: The temperature in several cities across Sindh has soared to 45 degrees Celsius, while Karachi, being a coastal city, continues to experience relatively milder conditions.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the weather in Karachi is expected to remain hot and humid today as well.
The minimum temperature recorded in Karachi this morning was 27°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach up to 37°C.
Humidity ratio in the air of Karachi has been recorded at least 79%. Due to the humidity in the air the heat intensity will be felt 2 to 4 degree higher. Currently, the city temperature is 32 degree Celsius while the heat of intensity is being felt up to 35C degree Celsius
The city is facing a southwesterly wind at a speed of 15 kilometers per hour. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the city will remain clear today, and there is no possibility of rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Hyderabad is likely to be 42 degrees, but the intensity of the heat will be felt up to 47 degrees.
The humidity in the air in Hyderabad is 60 percent, while the winds are at a speed of 16 kilometers per hour.
Khairpur is currently experiencing the highest temperatures in Sindh, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasting the mercury to rise up to 45 degrees Celsius.
According to the Met Office, areas such as Kot Diji and Nara in Khairpur are particularly prone to extreme heat due to their hilly terrain, which contributes to higher recorded temperatures.
The Meteorological Department has indicated that the temperature in Sukkur is likely to reach 45 to 47 degrees Celsius.
