KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast chances of light rain and drizzle in different parts of Karachi on Monday.
According to the Met Office, the city is likely to remain partly cloudy and humid over the next 24 hours.
During this period, light rain or drizzle may occur at isolated locations across the metropolis.
The Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature is likely to be 31 to 33 degrees Celsius over the next 24 hours, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, the humidity in the air is 81 % while the sea breezes are blowing running at 18 kg.
Earlier, Torrential rains have caused severe devastation in the city of Jamshoro and its surrounding areas, located along the banks of the Indus River.
Several regions in Taluka Sehwan and Thana Bula Khan have been submerged due to overflowing hill torrents triggered by continuous rainfall.
Flash floods from the nearby hilly streams have not only damaged homes and properties but have also completely disrupted electricity and gas supply in affected regions.
Local residents report that their valuable belongings and household items have been swept away by the floodwaters, while transportation and communication systems remain crippled.
