ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has accorded his approval to the appointment of Governors for Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
After approval, Sardar Slaeem Haider Khan has been appointed as Governor Punjab, Faisal Karim Kundi as Governor KP and Jaffar Khan Mandokhel as Governor Balochistan.
The president approved the appointments under Article 101 (1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.
Earlier, Chairman Pakistan People Party Bilawal Bhutto announced the nomination of governors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
Chairman Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto said that People's Party has nominated Faisal Karim Kundi as Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and party has nominated Sardar Saleem Haider as Governor of Punjab.
Bilawal Bhutto expressed good wishes for Faisal Karim Kundi and Sardar Saleem Haider and said in a statement that he is sure that both the governors will perform their duties well.

On the other hand, in the meeting chaired by Chairman Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto, the issue of government formation started the implementation of the proposed formula.
