Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, held a significant meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to the official press release issued by Prime Minister office following the talks, the leaders discussed a wide range of topics including regional security, mutual cooperation, and expanding economic partnerships.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised President Trump, calling him a “champion of peace,” and appreciated his sincere efforts toward resolving global conflicts. The Prime Minister lauded Trump’s bold and decisive leadership, stating that it played a pivotal role in preventing a major catastrophe in South Asia.
Prime Minister specifically thanked President Trump for facilitating a ceasefire between Pakistan and India during a critical time.
The meeting also highlighted the situation in Gaza and the broader Middle East, with both parties recognizing and appreciating President Trump’s efforts toward peace in the region. They reaffirmed their commitment to working together to promote stability and security across the region.
Prime Minister Sharif invited American investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s agriculture, information technology, and energy sectors. Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in counter-terrorism and intelligence sharing.
Additionally, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif formally invited President Trump to visit Pakistan. The invitation was warmly received, with President Trump expressing his willingness to visit the country in the near future.
