RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully prepared to effectively deter and defeat any form of aggression.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir visited forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC), where he celebrated Eid-ul-Azha with frontline troops.
The special prayers were offered after Eid prayers for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in Pakistan, as well as for the martyrs who laid down their lives in the defense of the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that celebrating Eid away from families on the frontlines is part of the continuous national duty of defending the motherland.
He praised the formation's performance during Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous, calling it a decisive battle for justice, and paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and veterans.
Addressing the troops and officers, the Field Marshal said, “You have taken a firm and fitting revenge for the loss of innocent Pakistani civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.” He lauded their high morale, exceptional operational readiness, and effective responses to Indian ceasefire violations.
Reaffirming his full confidence in the combat preparedness of the armed forces, the Army Chief said, “We are fully prepared to effectively deter and decisively defeat any form of aggression.” He emphasized that the just and courageous struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation will never be forgotten.
He further stated that the issue of Jammu and Kashmir must be resolved in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
