KARACHI: Torrential rains have continued intermittently in Karachi since yesterday, causing water levels to rise and leaving citizens stranded in several areas.
In response, Pakistan Army rescue teams were immediately mobilized, launching emergency operations to assist affected residents. Army personnel remain actively engaged in rescuing people from waterlogged and vulnerable locations across the city.
Alongside rescue operations, Pakistan Army, Sindh Rangers, and other law enforcement agencies are working in coordination with the civil administration to ensure the drainage of rainwater from various residential areas.
The joint efforts are aimed at restoring normalcy in affected neighborhoods where heavy downpours have led to severe water accumulation.
Pakistan Army, along with Sindh Rangers, law enforcement agencies, and the civil administration, rescued citizens stranded due to rising water levels on the M-9 Motorway, as well as in Saima and Saadi Town. Affected residents were safely shifted to secure locations.
Army personnel also assisted in restoring traffic flow in different areas, where commuters had been stuck due to heavy flooding. Grateful residents expressed their appreciation for the Army’s prompt rescue and relief operations during the emergency.
The rescue teams of the Pakistan Army will continue to rescue the people in the vicinity of Karachi and until all persons get out of this test.
