ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday reserved its judgment on the petition moved by former first lady Bushra Bibi seeking her transfer from the Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
Islamabad High Court Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the plea of Bushra Bibi's transfer from Bani Gala sub jail to Adiala Jail. During the hearing, Bushra Bibi's lawyer Usman Riaz gave arguments.
During the hearing, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Usman Riaz presented arguments. He argued that there was no instruction from the authorities regarding her transfer from Adiala Jail to Bani Gala sub jail.
He said that the Chief Commissioner's notification was not the instructions of the concerned authorities i.e. the Superintendent of Adiala Jail and neither the provincial government nor the IG Prison gave any instructions.
Bushra Bibi's lawyer said that the whole process of sub-jail was completed within a few hours.
Justice Miangul Hassan asked, "Don't you think it was pre-arranged that Bushra Bibi should be transferred" and how many women were brought to Adiala Jail after Bushra Bibi was sent home. He asked were the 141 women who were brought in after that were less privileged. The women who were brought later should also be sent home.
On this occasion, the state council lawyer said that Bushra Bibi was transferred to Bani Gala because of the danger in the jail.
Bushra Bibi's lawyer pleaded that the Chief Commissioner's notification of the transfer of Bani Gala sub jail is illegal and should be quashed.

Later, after hearing the arguments of the parties, the court reserved its verdict on Bushra Bibi's request to transfer from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
