LAHORE: An Anti -Corruption Court on Monday reserved judgment on Ramzan Sugar Mills case against Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz.
Lahore's Anti -Corruption Court heard the Ramadan Sugar Mills case against Shahbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz where Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz's lawyer Amjad Pervaiz argued.
Lawyer Amjad Pervaiz argued that the construction of the drain was not ordered by the then Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif but the construction of the drain was approved by the Punjab cabinet and the drainage was made for the betterment of the area.
The lawyer argued that the case against Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz was settled on political grounds, the drainage is not only for Ramadan sugar mills but also 10 villages using it. This reference was made on the basis of a ridiculous survey.
Later, the court reserved the decision of the case when the lawyer's arguments were completed, which will be preannounced on February 6.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for a daylong visit to Quetta to inquire after the security personnel who were injured during an anti-terror operation in Qalat a few days ago.
During the visit, he will also meet the provincial leadership besides getting a briefing on the law and order situation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar and Power Minister Awais Leghari will accompany the prime minister.
