Bushra Ansari's viral video sparks feminist debate on old songs

Karachi: Senior Pakistani drama industry actress Bushra Ansari recently "awakened her inner feminist" through a new viral video.

Known for her humorous style and lively personality, Bushra Ansari is considered an iconic figure in the showbiz industry. She has consistently maintained her artistic integrity and personal authenticity, successfully winning over fans in every role she portrays.

Beyond acting, Bushra Ansari is highly active on social media. She maintains a strong connection with her fans through vlogging on YouTube and regularly shares engaging video clips on platforms like Instagram, earning widespread appreciation.

Recently, Bushra Ansari shared a video on Instagram, singing memorable old songs. Through the lyrics of these songs, she revealed a significant realization. Citing examples from songs like 'Tarpa Lo' (Torment Me), 'Aazma Lo' (Test Me), 'Main Teri Dasi' (I Am Your Servant), and 'Tu Meri Ibadat' (You Are My Worship), Bushra Ansari stated that "almost all songs from her era were teaching women to put themselves through pain to please their men."

She then used the song 'Sajna Hai Mujhe Sajna Ke Liye' (I Must Adorn Myself For My Beloved) as an example, asserting that girls should live for themselves, adorn themselves for their own sake, and not try to please everyone. Referring to these songs, Bushra Ansari declared, "No, this will not happen anymore, because these songs have ruined our new generation."

Social media users are greatly appreciating Bushra Ansari's effective message through this video. One user praised the actress, writing, "Your advice is very much appreciated." Another user commented, "Hahaha! Yes, absolutely right. You are perfectly correct!" Many other users also appeared to agree with Bushra Ansari's perspective.
