RAWALPINDI: The security forces eliminated 35 militants of the Indian-backed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during multiple intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), From September 10 to 13, security forces conducted multiple intelligence-based operations (IBOs) against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
Acting on credible intelligence, troops launched an operation in Bajaur District, where they effectively engaged terrorist hideouts. After an intense exchange of fire, 22 militants, reportedly backed by India, were killed.
In a separate operation in South Waziristan District, 13 more terrorists were eliminated. During the fierce gun battle, 12 soldiers of Pakistan’s armed forces fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom.
The weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain militants, who were involved in numerous terrorist attacks in the region.
Intelligence reports confirmed the physical involvement of Afghan nationals in these attacks. Pakistan has reiterated its concerns regarding the use of Afghan soil by terrorist groups against Pakistan and called on the interim Afghan government to fulfill its commitments and prevent such activities.
The sanitization operations are being carried out to clear the area of any remaining terrorists. Security forces reaffirmed their determination to eradicate terrorism, emphasizing that the sacrifices of Pakistan’s brave soldiers further strengthen the nation’s resolve to defeat Indian-sponsored militancy.
