WhatsApp to Introduce new Chat Lock Syncing Across Devices

WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is working on making its messaging app more secure to better protect user privacy. They are developing a new feature that will synchronize the chat locks across all devices connected to the user's account. This means that if you lock a conversation on one device, the same security measure will automatically apply to that conversation on other linked devices, such as computers or tablets.

In the past, WhatsApp introduced the ability to lock specific chats and later added the Secret Lock feature, allowing users to set a unique password for added security. However, these security settings were specific to each device, requiring users to set them up separately on each device. The upcoming update aims to simplify this process by ensuring that security preferences automatically carry over to all platforms where WhatsApp is being used.

This enhanced chat lock feature, expected to be included in the next WhatsApp update, will offer users a more seamless and consistent security experience across all their devices. This move underscores WhatsApp's commitment to improving user privacy and overall security.
