U.S. launches massive “Operation Epic Fury” targeting Iran’s strategic strongholds

CENTCOM confirms 373 U.S. troops injured amid operation aimed at disabling Iran’s security network.

In a decisive and meticulously coordinated military campaign ordered by President Donald Trump, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has disclosed the full operational scope of “Operation Epic Fury”, initiated on February 28, 2026.

The operation represents an unprecedented strike on Iran’s strategic and critical assets, aiming to degrade the country’s security architecture and military capabilities.

According to CENTCOM, Iranian command and control centers, IRGC headquarters, intelligence facilities, and integrated air defense systems have been subjected to sustained precision strikes.

High-value targets including ballistic missile sites, drone manufacturing units, and ammunition depots have also been heavily targeted. The Iranian naval fleet, including submarines and surface vessels, has been devastated, with over 155 assets either destroyed or critically impaired.

The offensive leverages a multifaceted array of U.S. military capabilities, combining B-2 stealth bombers, B-52 Stratofortresses, F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, and tactical support from F-22s, F-18s, and A-10 aircraft.

Drones reconnaissance aircraft, and advanced electronic warfare systems are deployed to maximize operational efficiency and real-time battlefield intelligence. U.S. naval forces, including aircraft carriers and submarines, provide strategic dominance, while ground-based Patriot and THAAD missile defense systems ensure force protection.

CENTCOM emphasizes that the operation’s primary objective is the systematic dismantling of Iran’s integrated military and security infrastructure, significantly reducing its capacity to conduct offensive operations. To date, 373 U.S. personnel have sustained injuries, underscoring the high-intensity and high-risk nature of the campaign.

Experts suggest that Operation Epic Fury marks one of the most extensive and sophisticated U.S. military engagements in the region in decades, with potential far-reaching consequences for regional stability, geopolitical alignments, and global security dynamics.
