In what is expected to be a difficult moment for Biden, he will speak from the Rose Garden of the White House at 11 am (9 pm Pakistan time) to "discuss the election results and the transition" to Trump's second term.
Despite the personal challenge, Joe Biden appears determined to distinguish himself from Trump, who refused to concede his 2020 election loss to Biden, culminating in the violent January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection by Trump supporters.
In an effort to maintain a presidential tone, Biden has invited Trump to meet at the White House, even though their relationship has been marked by years of bitter rivalry. This would be their first meeting since Biden's poor performance in a debate with Trump in June, which ultimately led to Biden withdrawing from the race.
It is important to note that in the presidential election held yesterday, Donald Trump was re-elected as the President of the United States.
Trump won in 27 states, including Eastern Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia, while Kamala Harris claimed victory in 19 states.
In the U.S. presidential election, out of 538 electoral votes, Republican candidate Donald Trump secured 277 votes, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 226 electoral votes. Any candidate needed at least 270 electoral votes out of the total of 538 to win the presidency.
