WhatsApp is testing a new message translation feature aimed at breaking language barriers in communication. Currently in beta for Android (version 2.24.26.9), the feature will allow users to automatically translate chat messages and channel updates directly within the app.

To ensure privacy and security, all translations will be processed locally on the user’s device, maintaining WhatsApp's commitment to end-to-end encryption. Unlike other services, no data will be shared with third-party platforms or WhatsApp's servers.

The app will also support offline translations by letting users download language packs in advance. With these packs, translations can occur without an active internet connection, although the results may not always be perfectly accurate.

While this feature is still under development, it’s part of WhatsApp’s efforts to improve its functionality and user experience. A broader rollout is expected in future updates.

In addition to translations, WhatsApp has introduced a quick reply option for voice messages.

A new button appears while playing a voice note, allowing users to instantly record and send a voice reply.

These updates reflect WhatsApp's continuous innovation to enhance communication and accessibility for its global audience.
