Apple has increased the prices of several MacBook, iPad, and other devices which effects Pakistan tech import value across the country, after a rise in global semiconductor costs.
The company confirmed the decision and said higher chip production expenses forced the adjustment. MacBook prices have seen a major jump, as the MacBook Air now starts at $1,299, which is $200 higher than before. Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro has risen to $1,999 after a $300 increase. Other products also show similar changes across the lineup.
In Pakistan, analysts estimate that these global price increases could push local prices up by nearly Rs 84,000 due to exchange rates and import costs. Experts link this trend to rising semiconductor demand, especially from the AI industry, along with higher chip packaging expenses.

iPads have also become more expensive. The iPad Air now costs $749 after a $150 increase, while the iPad Pro has moved up to $1,199 after a $200 rise. In addition, the MacBook Neo now costs $699 after a $100 increase, showing that even entry level devices are affected.
Furthermore, Apple has raised prices across its desktop and accessory range. The iMac now sells for $1,499, and the Mac mini (M4 Pro) has reached $1,599. The Mac Studio models saw some of the biggest jumps, with the M4 Max version rising to $2,499 and the M3 Ultra model reaching $5,299.
Smaller products are also impacted. The Vision Pro now costs $3,699 after a $200 increase. The Home Pod mini rose to $129, while the Home Pod increased to $349. Apple TV saw one of the sharpest jumps, moving up to $199 after a $70 rise.
