On December 23, Santos released a statement confirming that Neymar had successfully undergone arthroscopic surgery to treat a lesion in the medial meniscus of his knee.
The procedure took place on Monday morning, December 22, at Mater Dei Nova Lima, performed by Dr. Rodrigo Lasmar and his skilled medical team.
The statement reassured fans, stating, “The surgery was a complete success, and Neymar is recovering well. He will be discharged later today and will begin his rehabilitation under the care of his physiotherapist, Rafael Martini."
