IRE vs PAK: Will Mohammad Amir participate in second T20I?

The Pakistani cricket team is set to face Ireland in the second T20I of a three-match series at the Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin this Sunday. This game is crucial for Pakistan as a defeat would result in them losing the series.

Mohammad Amir, a fast bowler for Pakistan, was absent from the first T20I, which was lost by Babar Azam’s team by five wickets, due to visa complications preventing him from travelling with the team.

However, recent updates indicate that Amir has now arrived in Ireland and will be available for the upcoming match.

Previously, Ireland triumphed over Pakistan in the T20Is on Friday. The two teams have only faced each other once before in this format, during the 2009 T20 World Cup, where Pakistan came out on top.

It’s worth noting that Amir’s visa for Ireland was granted on Thursday, and he departed for Dublin in the early hours of Friday.

Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), took swift action to ensure Amir’s travel clearance to Ireland.

The PCB was actively in touch with Cricket Ireland regarding Amir’s visa situation. All players, including Amir, had their visa applications processed right after the Kakul camp. However, there was a sense of unease at the PCB headquarters when Amir’s visa was initially not granted.
