Lions’ all-rounder Khushdil Shah delivered a powerful half-century, but Abbas Afridi's calm performance in the final over led the Dolphins to a tense last-over victory.
In this pivotal match, the Lions, chasing 327, needed to surpass 260 runs to qualify for the playoff stage. They achieved this in the 47th over but ultimately fell 16 runs short, ending their innings at 310-8 after 50 overs.
The Lions will now take on the Stallions in Wednesday’s eliminator, while the Markhors and Panthers clash in Tuesday’s Qualifier.
