Police found Pakistani actress, model, and fitness trainer Humaira Asghar Ali dead in her apartment in DHA Phase 6, Karachi. She had been missing for several months. Police discovered her body during an eviction operation and reported that it had been lying there for over a month.
Initial investigations suggest she died of natural causes, but due to the body’s advanced decomposition, the exact cause of death remains unknown.
Her sudden and silent passing has shocked the entertainment industry and her fans. As her family has reportedly refused to claim her body, fellow actors are now stepping forward to arrange her last rites.
Social activist Meherbano Sethi took the responsibility of arranging Humaira Asghar Ali’s funeral, and Sonya Hussyn also announced her decision to join the cause.
In her video, Sonya Hussyn said, “Assalamu Alaikum, I’m Sonya Hussyn. I received the tragic news that Humaira has passed away. I also learned that her family is not accepting her body, and I am genuinely shocked — I don’t even know how to respond. What did she do to deserve this? What sin did she commit that even her own parents aren’t claiming her dead body? I’m not here to lecture anyone, but if — God forbid — no one comes forward, then as a human and a Muslim, I want to take responsibility for her burial and last rites. I just don’t want any of us to be treated like this in the future. Please take care of your family, neighbors, and friends — and stay in touch with them.” Sonya started crying in the video.
