Shuja Asad exposes truth behind grave scene in 'Khaie'

In the recently concluded blockbuster "Khaie," Shuja Asad portrayed the role of Barlas Khan. The drama captivated the masses, and his character earned widespread popularity despite having several flaws. He managed to stay till the end of "Khaie" amidst the ongoing bloodbath. As a guest on the Eid special for "Hasna Mana Hai," he shared some behind-the-scenes insights of the show.

He shared how they shot that impactful grave scene. He said that “Faysal Quraishi was in a zone as he had to film his son being buried while he felt peaceful as he went and laid down in that grave with Faysal standing over him when they shot that scene of Barlas’s burial.”

He also discussed the greatness of Khalid Butt Sahab and how he felt intimidated by his talent and professionalism. He revealed that the senior actor used to watch Pushto shows to improve his accent, and he always gave his 100%. The subtlety of Durab Khan was also his idea, which ultimately made his character look so menacing.

He also revealed “how they shoot all those bullet scenes with blooding spewing out and in one such scene his arm got burnt.”
