  • Shahid Afridi, a prominent Pakistani cricketer, responded to the Pehelgam attack debate.
  • Afridi argued that India's actions were a result of blaming Pakistan.
  • He emphasized that Pakistan has always presented evidence, including the capture and return of Abhinandan Varthaman.
Shahid Afridi, one of Pakistan’s biggest cricket stars, represented the national team for decades and now frequently analyzes their performances. Known for his outspoken political views, Afridi shares his opinions on both local and international issues. Recently, he gave a direct and fitting response to the ongoing debate surrounding the Pehelgam attack.

Many celebrities expressed their condolences to India after the Pehelgam attack, which claimed 26 lives. As usual, instead of launching an investigation, the Indian government blindly blamed Pakistan. They banned Pakistani artists, rejected visas, and fueled a hate campaign on social media. This time, Pakistanis refused to take them seriously and responded with a meme war.

Shahid Afridi also addressed the situation, stating that whenever even a cracker goes off in India, they immediately start pointing fingers and blaming Pakistan. He added that “Indian Illegaly Occupied Jammu And Kashmir has 8 lakh troops of the Indian military on the ground. If an attack like this still happens, it means they are all “nalaiq and nikammay”. He also said that “Pakistan has always presented their side with proof. We still have Kulbhushan Yadav who masterminded terrorism in Balochistan and we caught and returned Abhinandan Varthaman. Indians should also show proof.”

This is what he said:

Many Indians ended up agreeing with Shahid Afridi. Several commented that, despite being from the other side, they supported his assessment. They also blamed their own government for the situation. In this way, Indians acknowledged that Shahid Afridi was speaking the truth about their government.
